Hudson's personality is showing itself more and more everyday. He's very opinionated about what he wants to play with, when he wants to eat, and everything else he does or does not want to do. At times it gets very frustrating for me. I want him to be able to express himself and find out what he likes and doesn't but at the same time he needs guidance and sometimes what he wants isn't actually what is good for him or even what he wants. For instance, if he sees his bowls or a snack on the counter he screams and cries until he gets it. He acts like he hasn't had a meal in 3 days, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Sometimes he sees Maddie's treat bag on the counter and thinks it's his and does not understand why he can't have the deliciousness that he thinks is in the bag. Sigh.
Meal times are much better now. He uses a spoon and a fork like a champ and eats mostly out of a bowl. He's not really too picky anymore which is great news. He does, however, like to play the game where he takes something out of his bowl and hangs his hand over the high chair, threatening to drop it at any minute. All the while looking at you. What a stinker. We say no, he moves his hand, he puts his hand back and the game starts all over again until he decides it is the right time to drop it. So frustrating.
He gets really frustrated when a toy doesn't do what he wants it to do after several attempts. He won't let you help and ends up screaming and throwing the object if it doesn't go the way he wants it. I'm trying to break this habit otherwise he'll be a nightmare when he's older.
I think he's becoming more and more like me everyday. AAARRRGGGHHHHH!
