Update time

I don't really have too much to post about but I thought I'd give a quick update anyways!
We had to buy Hudson new diapers because he outgrew the other ones so fast. I did a bunch of research and basically the ones that were recommended time and time again were the BumGenius diapers. I found a great sale on the one size diapers (so we hopefully don't run into the problem of outgrowing again) and so I bought 24 one size diapers and 2 swim diapers (for our upcoming trip) with shipping for $400. I think that's a great deal considering these will last hopefully until he's potty trained and we can use them for the next babe.
I have to say that these diapers ROCK! We've never had a leak and overnight when he sleeps 7 or more hours straight, NO LEAKS! We had previously bought 3 other kinds of cloth diapers and at some point all of them would leak, either in the front when he was sleeping or around the legs. Not these ones. I puffy heart these diapers!!!!

The walk and stroll class is almost over :( Hudson has a great time, he loves the last half of the class when we have weights and I use his as my weight (he's a good size weight). Although he gets fussy when I have to put him down to do moves I can't use him for. He's all smiles and yesterday he was laughing so loud other people stopped to look at us (his laugh sounds like he's crying). Too funny. I've only got 9 pounds to go to get to my pre-pregnancy weight! I hope to keep going and maybe lose another 10 pounds. We'll see how it goes. Ever since I started working out, I have gotten tons of stretch marks on my boobs. I was pretty lucky and didn't really have any during the pregnancy but there is way more now. Bleh.

Work is getting busy for me but it's still manageable with me working some evenings and weekends. I know a couple people who have recently gone back after the year (we get 1 year paid maternity leave, except for those of us that are self employed-we get no paid time off) and they have such a hard time. They like the adult interaction but I couldn't imagine. I'm lucky that as a real estate agent I can work kinda when I want to and stay home with Hudson as much as I can. I don't know if I could go back to a full time job and leave him all day and then cram everything else into the evenings. I'm pretty lucky.

A success?

Last night we decided to try a go at rice cereal. Hudson watches us very closely when we eat and has started to copy us during meal times by opening his mouth and chewing when we do. So why not start him on it. It went alright for the most part, he just liked having the spoon in his mouth but by the end I think he got a bit frustrated. He still ended up drinking like 10 ounces afterwards but just getting him used to the idea of the spoon was the point.
The stroller class has been going well. We walk around the indoor track for 30 mins and then do weights and strength exercises for 30 mins afterwards. I'm super sore the next day so I think it's working :)
Hudson has outgrown his diapers:( I found a great sale online for some bumGenius one size diapers so hopefully those will arrive soon. I don't mind fitted or pocket diapers but bumGenius seem to be the most highly rated or all the diapers so why not go for the all in ones. They also are good for 35 pounds so i hope we don't risk him outgrowing them anytime soon!

My little pouty teenager

It's been a few weeks since I've updated last so I'll try and fit everything into this post!
Hudson is doing great! He's got this pouty look that is the most adorable thing ever
and makes me laugh but very quickly it turns into tears so I feel horrible for laughing! He does this quite often actually, apparently he gets it from me:

He's still sleeping great! My 13 week old sleeps like a teenager! Our routine throughout the weekdays is Hudson goes to bed around 10-11pm, he wakes up around 7am, I feed him and he goes back to sleep until around 11am. Then he has a 3 hour nap at 3pm. I'm LOVING IT! I can get everything I want done around the house and more importantly I get enough sleep! On the weekends it gets a bit screwed up because we're usually out in the day and so the afternoon nap gets messed up. Yesterday we went to visit my grandma and grandpa with my aunt and my cousin Zack and because he only slept an hour in the car on the way there and back he was a bit crabbier than usual last night but he went to bed around 12:30am and he's still asleep now at 11am!
I like to think that this is my karma for having a not so good pregnancy!

It's funny because Hudson at 13 weeks weighs 15 pounds and Zack at 1 year weighs 20 pounds!

Other than enjoying the sleep while it lasts, I've signed us up for a stroller class that starts tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting out of the house with him and fitting in some exercise too. If it wasn't -30 here then I'd be walking outside with him! I also plan to take him for swimming lessons but that doesn't start for a few months (he's got to be a min of 4 months).
We're going to Mexico in March with my parents and it should be a blast. We rented a house with a pool and I hope Hudson does alright with the heat. The doctor said to keep him in the shade at all times and only use bottled water for his formula. I think he'll be okay on the plane etc, it's just the heat I worry about but I guess if it gets too hot for him we do have air conditioning.

Well we're off to Zack's 1st birthday party!
