Dr's appt went great! The wait was long but when we finally got in we had the u/s and got to see the little guy! He's definitely head down and his knees are right at my belly button which explains why it feels like my belly button is being pushed out at times! Poor guy is running out of room.
The head was measuring at 33w1d, the belly at 30w6d, and the femur at 33w0d. I'm 34w1d. He's in the 67th percentile and currently weighs 5lbs, 11oz. He's not like his older brother who was measuring ahead by 2.5 weeks and was in the 90th percentile at this time. I was convinced that he may be a mid-end of April baby but now I'm not so sure. Perhaps he will be a May baby afterall.

34w & getting anxious
How far along: 34w
Total weight gain/loss: 22 pounds (ish)
Maternity clothes: Maternity, definitely
Stretch marks: a few small ones are new right above my belly button.
Sleep: Sucks and is uncomfortable.
Best moment this week: Unpacking and setting up the nursery.
Movement: Tons of pushing and stretching.
Food cravings: Licorice, yum!
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: nope.
Belly Button in or out? Outie
What I miss: not having a heavy belly
What I am looking forward to: the ultrasound on Tuesday!!
Milestone: 3 weeks til full term!! OMG
This week has been great and very productive. We cleaned and reset up the nursery and unpacked all the newborn clothes and I've been busy with work. Not much is left to do on the to do list which is VERY exciting!
Still no name is picked out. We keep going back and forth on names and we've at least narrowed the list down. It may just be one of those things that we decide when we meet the little guy.
Sleep has been awful for me (which means Devin as well). I get up to pee like every hour and it doesn't help that I wake up super thirsty all the time either. My belly is quite heavy now and my only option is to lay on my sides. My hips go numb from laying on them and it's gotten to the point that when one goes numb and I've switched sides, the other one hasn't regained feeling before a switch is needed again. It's frustrating but a fact of life I suppose.
Tuesday I have another Drs appt and ultrasound to check the position of the baby. I'm pretty certain that he stays between the 3 and 9'oclock and the 1 and 7'oclock positions. He definitely isn't head down. I just can't wait to see the little guy again!
Recently I've been having anxiety over the labor. The pain, the quickness that everyone says you experience with the second, everything. I just need to relax and try not to think about it. Definitely hard when a friend of mine had her baby on Friday and was in labor for only 2 hours. Crazy!

33w & The milestone
How far along: 33w
Total weight gain/loss: 22 pounds (ish)
Maternity clothes: Maternity, definitely
Stretch marks: No new ones, I'm expecting more to come after.
Sleep: As good as it's going to get.
Best moment this week: Moving Hudson over to his bed was easier than I thought it'd be.
Movement: Tons of pushing and stretching.
Food cravings: Chocolate, slurpees, and still chicken sandwiches
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: nope.
Belly Button in or out? Outie
What I miss: an ice cold beer
What I am looking forward to: unpacking the newborn stuff!
Milestone: 4 weeks til full term!!
Well moving Hudson over was a success! Friday day he napped in his bed no problem. He didn't act like it was any different than his crib and when he woke up he was so proud of himself. He sat on the bed and just grinned! Friday night we put him in the bed and he didn't quite understand that he was to sleep there over night so the tears ensued. He then thought it was a game and after an hour and a half of us getting up and putting him back into bed (like every couple minutes) he finally went to sleep.
He doesn't know to sleep under the covers yet and ends up face down facing the foot of the bed but whatever. He'll get it soon enough. He woke up twice Fri night disorientated and not sure where he was but he went back to sleep right away.
Sat day the nap went well and then last night went equally as well. We only had to pick him up and put him back into bed a couple of times before he went to sleep. Not bad at all!
I can't wait until we move everything over and I can unpack the newborn stuff! It's all so cute and tiny and I can't wait to have a little tiny baby again :)
This pic is from Hudson's first nap in his new bed.

32w & on the mend
How far along: 32w1d
Total weight gain/loss: 20 pounds (ish)
Maternity clothes: Maternity, definitely
Stretch marks: No new ones, I'm expecting more to come after.
Sleep: As good as it's going to get.
Best moment this week: the whole week/weekend was great! (except for being sick)
Movement: Tons of pushing and stretching.
Food cravings: Chocolate and sweets! And Chicken Sandwiches at night before bed, weird.
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: no, but I don't think the RLP is RLP anymore. I'm going to ask the Dr.
Belly Button in or out? Outie
What I miss: taking medicine when I'm sick.
What I am looking forward to: drs appt on Wed and I want to take Hudson to the library one day.
Milestone: 5 weeks til full term!!
I had a pretty nasty head cold this past week but thankfully neither Hudson or D got it! It sucked not being able to take a decongestant but I made it through. I mean it's not like I had Ebola or anything.
I have a Drs appt Wed again now that I'm so close. Every 2 weeks. I've been having strange pain that I thought was RLP but I don't think is anymore. RLP is supposed to be caused by movement and I get this when I'm completely still. It's strange.
Its likely just the position of the baby. I'm also hoping she'll schedule me for another u/s. I'll take any chance I can get to peek at this little guy!
I used to feel like I'm ready to pop but after looking at belly shots from last time I seem to be right on track. I got much huger at around 35 weeks so I'm waiting for the last belly growth spurt to come.

The room
We finally finished Hudson's room!! I'm very happy with the final result and just glad to be done it really. We haven't moved his clothes over or had him sleep in there yet but that will come soon enough. So far we just try and spend as much time in there as possible to get him used to the room. He seems to really like reading bedtime stories in his new bed with daddy so I'm hoping the transition won't be as difficult as I think it'll be.

Milestones
I keep forgetting to jot down some of Hudson's favorite things now and what he can do at this age. Here goes a list;
-he loves helping out. Most of the time he really is helping and will even hand you the clean dishes out of the dishwasher for us to put away!
-he's still not really talking yet. He'll say 'dada' or the odd 'mama' and we'll even catch him trying to say 'George' but that's about it.
-he loves playing under the dining room table and chairs. I think he thinks it's a fort.
-he will dance to anything that resembles music. Today I caught him dancing to the sound of the electric beaters beating pudding.
-he's a very good dipper. He loves ketchup or any kind of sauce really and will dip anything into anything. (he did pizza into applesauce the other day).
-he's still a great sleeper. He'll sleep around 12 hours at night and then usually a 2 hour nap in the afternoon (ps momma is SO thankful!!)
-he loves looking at photographs. I've made books for all major things we've done and everyday he'll go and grab them for us to flip the pages. I don't know if he just likes them cause they're pictures or if because he's recognizing the people in the books.
-meal times are still a stressful time for me. Sometimes he'll eat great, but most times he will eat a couple bites and start throwing his cup, bowl, fork, even food on the ground. Then he of course is hungry an hour later so we need to come up with a better plan.
-he's got all of his 16 teeth in now. The last 4 molars come in between 2-3 years so we've got some time for those.
-he's started to watch cartoons. I don't really want to encourage it but I think it's cute when he dances to the songs and continuously points and looks at me as if he's saying 'did you just see that??!!'
-he can go up and down the stairs by himself.
Now that baby #2 is arriving soon, I can't help but think about what Hudson was like as a newborn. 16 short months later, it still amazes me how much he's grown and learnt.

31w & relief
How far along: 31w
Total weight gain/loss: 20 pounds
Maternity clothes: Maternity, definitely
Stretch marks: No new ones, I'm expecting more to come after.
Sleep: As good as it's going to get. Wake up to pee and to turn to the other side after one goes numb.
Best moment this week: Getting back to a normal routine but I miss having D around.
Movement: Tons of pushing and stretching.
Food cravings: Chocolate!!
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: no. Pressure isn't as often anymore but the all throughout the day round ligament pain is really bothering me.
Belly Button in or out? It's starting to poke out.
What I miss: being able to move my body how I'm used to.
What I am looking forward to: Having a great week with Hudson!
Milestone: 6 weeks til full term!!
So I might have been freaking out with my last post. But that's what I was honestly feeling at the time. I haven't felt like that since and I'm glad. The more I can minimize my craziness the better :). D and I talked things over and made a list of what needs to be done before the baby comes. We have a plan to get it all done in time and I think just doing that helped me out.
The drs appt went well, same as usual. She wanted to check me for preterm labor after I told her about the pressure I was feeling and she said that labor is not in sight. My cervix is long and thick and the baby's head isn't engaged so that's great news! She thinks it's due to the position of the baby or ahem, I should try and eat more fibre. It wouldn't hurt to be a bit more regular I suppose.

Exhausted. Tired. Worn out.
I have a list a mile long of things to do before the baby is born. Things to buy, things to get accomplished, things to have ready. Trust me, I've trimmed the list down to the bare essentials but most days I have no motivation to get anything done and every day my energy reserves are smaller and smaller. For god sakes we don't even have a name picked out. Not to mention a top 3 or even 10. Nothing. Hudson's room needs to be set up so he can start to sleep in there, the newborn stuff needs to be unpacked and put away. I dont even have a baby book yet, let alone have it filled out. These are just a few of the things that need to be checked off on the ever growing list.
I feel like a lot of the weight is on me to keep the house running and prepare for the baby. And in most ways it is. D's doing his very best to help out and do what he can but yesterday was his first day back to work and he's not sleeping great at night so by the time we go pick him up at the end of the day he's exhuasted too. Not to mention he's still healing and physically unable to help in most ways right now. 4 more weeks with the brace.
Work is just going to get busier for me too with the seasonality of it. I've been able to keep on top of that for now so that's great, let's just hope I can continue.
How am I supposed to get it all done when I don't even have energy to walk to the mailbox?
